Surprised by a movie for the first time in a while

Saw Star Trek: Into Darkness tonight. I sure am glad I didn’t read anything about the plot. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the switcheroos and regiggering of plot elements from the old films. Fantastic special effects. And the lens flares, oh man, let me tell you, those lens flares were VERY flary.

I don’t know if they actually say that or not, but we’re going to find out. We’re moving to England for 3 years.

We’ll be in NB 3 - 6 May, moving sometime in late July. We’ll be having a number of going away parties to get some use of our deck. For those who haven’t visited us in Ottawa yet .. now would be a good time :)

Pad & Quill Little Pocket Book for iPhone 5

I don’t often do product reviews (ever? I this the first?). This product is so good and I’m so happy with it that I have the need to share.

I needed a case for my phone that could also replace my wallet. I didn’t want the front to get scratched like my last iPhone. I ended up getting a DODOcase durables sleeve. That case is now on sale on eBay. The pockets on it weren’t adequate as a wallet replacement. Cards kept falling out. Then I found the Pad & Quill Little Pocket Book. I love it. If you’re looking to consolidate your wallet and iPhone, go buy one now. They’re very well made and smell nice. (Yes, I said smell)
