After days of obsessively searching for solutions to keep my pen with my field notes, here’s what I came up with.
I keep both in a shirt pocket, so I don’t worry about the pocket situation. No leather or cloth to add bulk in the x, y or z axis, just a big chunk of metal (that I can actually use has a small handle to remove from my pocket).
I deleted the top loop on the pen to make it more svelte. It’s now very close to being the same height has a field note.
I think it’s so beautiful (in its simplicity), they should have sent a poet.
